Common questions

My iOS app is empty — where are my games?

Saved games come from the Chrome extension. Make sure you have:

  1. Installed the TaliCompanion Chrome extension on your laptop
  2. Signed in to the extension with the same account you use on iOS
  3. Played at least one game on talishar.net to completion

If you signed in to iOS with Apple and the extension with Google, the two accounts start out separate. Open the iOS app and tap the Link your extension card on the You tab — that walks you through linking them so your games show up.

I signed in with Apple but want to also use Google

In the iOS app: You → Settings → Sign-in methods → tap Add next to Google. The same flow works for adding Apple to a Google-only account.

How is my MMR calculated?

Each completed Talishar match between two TaliCompanion users counts as one rated game. We use a casual Elo-style formula tuned for volatility early on so new players feel their rating move quickly. The exact rating curve is unrated for “Claim Victory” concedes since those don’t reflect a real win.

How do I delete my data?

What does TaliCompanion collect about me?

See the privacy policy for the full breakdown. Short version: your sign-in email, your username, your Talishar handle, your saved games, your friend list, and your rating. No tracking, no ads, no analytics SDKs, no profile pictures.

Can I use TaliCompanion without the Chrome extension?

You can sign in to the iOS app and browse a friend’s games (with their permission), watch the leaderboard, and follow friends. But your own games are captured by the extension — the iOS app on its own won’t collect any.
